Agaves: Mexicano, Cuishe, Tobala, Tepeztate, Coyote, Arroqueno, Madre Cuishe, Tobasiche, Barril, Espadin and destilados con fruits, herbs and plants.
From the Zapotec village of Chichicapam, Oaxaca, Berta Vasquez learned to make mezcal from her grandfather. She applied the craft, helping her husband with production, but he tragically died. Left to care for the house and children, Berta took on the role of master distiller. She is now revered as one of the most renowned female mezcal producers in the world.
